The Sandhills Jewish Congregation at Temple Beth Shalom is the only Jewish congregation within an hour drive. While the temple belongs to the Union for Reform Judaism, its members include Jewish families of all denominations. The congregation welcomes the LGBT community, and is served by Rabbi Kenneth Brickman, who, with his husband, divides his time between Pinehurst and NYC.
